In his April 2015 interview with Carolina Hernandez, Deshawn McKinney talks about his childhood and background, including what lead him to UW-Madison. He further discusses his activities while at the university, focusing on his efforts related to the Black Lives Matter movement in Madison. This interview was conducted for inclusion in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Archives Oral History Project.
