Abstract
For this set of two interviews, Caila Drew-Morin received written responses from Michael Hinden to questions delivered via email. On March 29, 2024 Hinden describes his role in facilitating the reception of the gift of the Thai pavilion from the Wisconsin Alumni Association of Thailand to the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He reflects on the positive and negative aspects of accepting the gift. He writes about his shifting retrospective views on his role in the project. On April 7, 2024, Hinden further elaborates on his role in facilitating the reception of the gift of the Thai pavilion. In response to follow up questions, Hinden describes the antecedent event in Thailand prior to the pavilion being gifted. He elaborates on the gifting of the pavilion and its significance. These interviews were conducted for the Thai Pavilion at 25 oral history project as part of the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection.
