Abstract

Methanobactin ia a small copper-sequestering molecule produced by the bacteria Methylosinus trichosporium OB3b. This research employed nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectroscopy to elucidate the structure of methanobactin when exposed to low levels of copper.
