Description

Freda Wright was born on April 16, 1913. She received a B.A. degree in 1935 from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and a M.A. degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin. She also completed several postgraduate classes in Guidance and Personnel Services. Wright first came to Stout in 1966 as an instructor in Counseling and Psychological Services. Among her duties at Stout was that as director of the Home School Coordinator positions. The purpose of this position was to close the gap between Native American communities and public schools in Wisconsin. Wright retired in 1976 and received emeritus status in 1979.
