dc.description"Hear Me Now" (16 min.) offers stories from San Francisco's deaf queer communities and their allies. The deaf queer community faces double oppression in a fast-paced, hearing, heterosexist world, which refuses to slow its pace long enough to listen, understand, and accept identities beyond the "norm". This documentary provides insight into a community that relies on their eyes rather than their ears, and yearns for acceptance instead of social ostracism. These individuals make waves of change to end their silence, and to become activists. "Hear Me Now" offers the passionate message to never lose your voice: keep speaking, signing, and living.
