Published annually since 1980, CCBC Choices is an annotated listing of the best books for children and teenagers, selected by the professional staff of the CCBC. In recent years, there have typically been around 200 titles included. In addition to information about the individual books, each volume of Choices since 1983 has included an introduction that provides an overview of the year in children’s publishing.
