The Carbon Model project is employing unique coupled biological and industrial process-based models to simulate the carbon budgets of:

• biological ecosystems to identify opportunities to increase carbon sequestration by terrestrial ecosystems
• industrial ecosystems to identify opportunities to decrease carbon emissions.
• forest system (biological + industrial) for different natural and anthropogenic disturbance regimes
