Abstract
This research takes a Feminist Theoretical perspective and investigates if
the often patriarchal, essentialist, and objectivizing curriculum in Abstinence
Emphasized sex education (AE) can be used as a proxy measure of state
level cultural forces on gender inequality, specifically, on gendered violence
and employment discrimination.
